DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. – Senior attack Amanda Alexandrowicz (Ridley, Pa./Ridley HS) has been selected to play in the 2010 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)/Under Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game, the organization announced Monday. Alexandrowicz is just the second player in Cabrini women’s lacrosse program history to be selected to the national all-star showcase.
Alexandrowicz was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player of the Year and claimed first-team all-conference recognition in 2010. She led the Cavaliers with a career-best 89 points on 64 goals and 25 assists.
Alexandrowicz wrapped up her Cabrini tenure with 263 career points, scoring 210 goals and adding 53 assists. She eclipsed the 200-point plateau versus Rowan University on March 23. Alexandrowicz netted the 200th goal of her Cavalier career versus Marywood University on May 5.
Alexandrowicz is a two-time CSAC First Team selection and earned conference second-team accolades in 2008. She received IWLCA Metro Region Second Team distinction last season.
Alexandrowicz is the first Cavalier to be selected to the IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star Game since Kelly Romano (2001-04) earned the same honor in 2004.
The 2010 Under Armour/IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star Game will be played Saturday, June 12 at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa. The Division III game is set to begin at 2 p.m.
