Cabrini Men, Women's Basketball Team With Catholic Relief Services To Fight Malaria
Bookmark and Share

RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men and women’s basketball teams will team with Catholic Relief Services  (CRS) to fight malaria through “Nets for Nets” program Thursday, Jan. 21 during a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) doubleheader versus Neumann University.

“Nets for Nets”, introduced last year through Cabrini’s partnership with CRS, will help to fight life-threatening malaria in West Africa. For every basket made by the Cavaliers, the CRS Student Ambassadors at Cabrini are pledging to donate one anti-malaria bed-net ($7) for families in Gambia.

Raffles will be sold in the Dixon Center lobby alongside a direction donations table. Raffle prizes include a full-year of Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, coupons for free car washes and other great prizes.

Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be donated for relief in Haiti.

The Cabrini women’s game versus Neumann will begin at 6 p.m. The Cavalier men’s contest against the Knights is set to tip at approximately 8 p.m.
