CSAC Coaches Select Knights in Volleyball Preseason Poll

Aston, Pa.- Neumann University’s volleyball team has been selected as the pre-season favorite in the Colonial States Athletic Conference(CSAC) coaches’ poll. The 2008 conference champions received six of the twelve possible first place votes for a total of 137 points.
“We are honored by the recognition of being picked first to finish this season,” head coach Deana Jespersen said. “We are looking forward to the upcoming 2009 season.”
The Knights went 10-0 in conference play in 2008.
Cabrini College followed as a close second with a total of 132 points.
Philadelphia Biblical University (124),
Baptist Bible College (92),
Immaculata University (82),
Gwynedd-Mercy College (82),
College of Notre Dame (76),
Marywood University (74),
Centenary College (52),
Cedar Crest College (43),
Keystone College (30) and
Rosemont College (16) rounded out the voting.
The 2009 CSAC Championship begins with quarterfinal play on Tuesday, November 3. The CSAC Championship match is set for Saturday, November 7
th at the CSAC Fall Championship Festival at Immaculata University.
