ERIE, Pa. – The Neumann University men’s soccer team fell 2-1 in overtime to Penn State-Behrend in the first round of the ECAC South Tournament.
The first half featured the defense. The Knights outshot the Lions 6-5 in the first half.
Neumann broke the scoreless game with a goal at the 72nd minute when Alred Baa-Adomako scored off a pass from Zach Sell. The Lions answered 40 seconds later and knotted the game back at one.
Midway through the overtime session, PSU Behrend scored on a ball off the post for the 2-1 win. Behrend advances to the semifinals with the win.
Neumann finishes the season 9-9-2 overall after making its first appearance in the ECAC Tournament. The records marks this first time men’s soccer has finished at .500.
