Rosemont, Pa - The Rosemont College men's soccer team in conjunction with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is sponsoring a 'Kicks for Cancer' campaign.
Players from the Rosemont squad will be taking pledges for every touch the team makes in two weeks, including practices and games. The goal this year is to get 2,000 touches. In additional, the team is asking for help from local players to go out and get pledges and add their own touches to the cause.
The campaign will culminate with festivities on the teamn's field on Friday, October 30th starting at 5pm. All participants are asked to bring money raised and can participate in skills challenges including shooting and dribbling contests.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Its mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of live of patients and their families.
