Aston, Pa. – Cabrini College’s Men’s Cross Country team has been selected as the pre-season favorite in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) coaches’ poll. The 2007 conference champion received five of nine possible first-place votes for a total of 77 points, finishing ahead of Gwynedd-Mercy College.
“I’m surprised that we’d be given this honor because we’ve lost two of our top five runners,” said Cavalier Head Coach Tom O’Hora. “I hope this will give our younger team members the impetus to perform well. We are certainly flattered to be named the pre-season favorite and we look forward to living up to those expectations.”
Gwynedd-Mercy College earned a total of 71 points for a strong second. Keystone College was selected third with 60 points.
Marywood University (50), Baptist Bible College (38), Philadelphia Biblical University (32), Neumann College (30), Immaculata University (24) and Centenary College (23) rounded out the voting.
The 2008 CSAC Championship Race will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 in Allentown, Pa.
