5.16.2012 | Men's Lacrosse

SALISBURY, MD:  The Cabrini College men's lacrosse team saw its season end with a 14-4 loss to top-ranked and undefeated Salisbury University in the NCAA Division-III Quarterfinals.  The defeat snapped a 16-game winning streak for the sixth-ranked Cavaliers, who finish the season with a 17-3 overall record.

Howey-in-the-Hills, FL:  The Neumann University men's golf team finished 41st at the 2012 NCAA Division-III Golf Championships.  The Knights, making their first ever NCAA appearance after winning the 2012 CSAC championship, posted a two-day score of 717 (368-349).  Bruce Bandos led the Knights, carding a two-day score of 174, highlighted by an 80 on the second day of play.

LAKEWOOD, NJ:  The Colonial States Athletic Conference saw its two representatives go 1-1 in the first day of the 2012 NCAA Division-III Mid-Atlantic Baseball Regionals, hosted by Kean University at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, NJ.  In the first game of the tournament, fifth seeded Neumann saw fourth-seed Ramapo score eight runs over the game's final two innings to secure a 10-6 victory.  In the day's second game, top-seeded Keystone jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the first inning, and never looked back, defeating eighth-seeded Daniel Webster 13-6.  Both teams will return to action on Thursday afternoon, with Neumann facing Daniel Webster in an elimination game slated for 10:00am, and Keystone taking on Ramapo in the winner's bracket beginning at 4:30pm.

5.14.2012 | Baseball

INDIANAPOLIS, IN:  The NCAA has announced its field of 54 teams that will compete in the 2012 Division-III baseball championship tournament, and it includes a pair of Colonial States Athletic Conference rivals.  CSAC champion Keystone College was named the top seed for the Lakewood, NJ region, while conference runner-up Neumann University was placed in the same region, as the fifth seed.  The region tourney gets underway on Wednesday, with Neumann facing off against #4 Ramapo beginning at 10:00am. Keystone will play the day's second game, taking on #8 seed Daniel Webster at 1:15pm.  All games will be played at First Energy Park in Lakewood, NJ, with Kean University serving as the host.
